the bigger question is why isn't having intercourse for 4 years this form of huge difficulty along with her? Is she hiding some inherent problem, hoping that once 4 years at the same time you would be so deeply in which you would be prepared to place up with it? Why 4 years precisely? is this a try? A concepts sport? via doing this she's making intercourse a extensive deal on your courting. it is not a undesirable element to attend in the past starting to be to be intimate, yet this form of ultimatum will reason great friction. It strikes me as controlling. Sexual compatibility is a extensive portion of a marriage. i'm no longer asserting this as an excuse to have intercourse pre-marriage, yet what's going to you do if it seems after 4 years you're no longer properly suited? i might say play it via ear. After six months to a 300 and sixty 5 days, re-evaluate and be certain returned.

Well, you had sex pretty young, so it's likely that you didn't have an earth-shatteringly fantastic experience with it.

There's nothing wrong with waiting until the right time and the right person. I think that chosing to abstain again was probably the right decision for you when you were 15, 16, and 17. The maturity leap between those years is SO huge. I bet you'd be much readier now than you were at 15.

Just save sex for love, because then you won't regret it. That's my policy. : )

There is nothing wrong with you at all. It's not like you'll be any cooler if you have sex with someone. I applaud you for being celebate for as long as you have. Keep it that way until you are ready to jump back out there again. Don;t listen to your friends about what they're talking about. Besides I find it very refreshing that you're not spreading yourself around like bees and pollen.

Three yrs is a long time but i dont think your friends should laugh at you cause if you chose not to have sex for the time being it's ur choice and they should respect it.. it's ur body and you do what you want.. what is important about sex is that you should do it only when you feel ready cause when you do it with the right person it's worth waiting.

NO, I'm a 24.5 year old guy and not only have I never had sex before, but I also never had a girlfriend either, TOP THAT ANYONE! I hope to meet a wonderful girl one day and marry her, and then, well you know ;^). Sex is for married people, not for kids.

I have been celibate for 20 years and will remain so until I am married. It will take me at least 4 years from meeting the person I will marry before I will marry them. So I will be at least 25. This is if I meet said person quite soon. Since my life revolves around work and nothing else, its very unlikely, and I may even end up celibate my entire life, which is fine. You go girl.

Hi there

Not at all, if that's the way you feel, then no-one can tell you otherwise. Friends always try to hook people up if they know they're single, its just something friends do. It's up to you at the end of the day, its not crazy at all.

If you feel comfortable with your situation, then you are just being yourself. And there is no need to change and try to be like everybody else.

But if you feel lonely and unhappy due to lack of a sexual relationship in your life, then perhaps you do have an emotional problem that prevents you from achieving happiness in life.

Try 20 years plus - my friend never remarries or date after her husband died. She is now a grandmother.

I wouldn't recommend being with someone without marrying him first.
