Define "faith". Using the DICTIONARY, please.
Then demonstrate why a lack of a belief in gods is somehow a 'faith position', a 'belief system', or a religion.
Please. I'm getting tired of this new R&S fad.

See one of my previous questions. It applies to the argument you're using right now (the Watchmaker Argument)

Whoever said we had faith in religion? We don't. We have faith in the pursuit of science, knowledge, and common sense. Atheism is most definitely a belief system and I'll tell you why. All atheists each have their own story for why they chose to be atheists. That means we have belief systems. They may not all be the same....consider it denominational, like Christian religions. Some atheists believe what they believe because religion let them down. Some atheists see more efficient evidence in science rather than the bible.
Many atheists, come here to share their stories about why they left religion and turned to atheism. Where else would they go to share a story regarding religion? The Religion and Spirituality Section.

Merriam Webster defines faith as --
"1 a: allegiance to duty or a person : loyalty b (1): fidelity to one's promises (2): sincerity of intentions
2 a (1): belief and trust in and loyalty to God (2): belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion b (1): firm belief in something for which there is no proof (2): complete trust
3: something that is believed especially with strong conviction; especially : a system of religious beliefs"
So, as a Christian, I would agree with you that Atheists have a severe lack of faith. The idea that there is no God is a "Belief", but certainly not a good example of faith, by the official definition.

I will give you an example of the faith of an atheist. In boot camp there was about a third of the men there that were atheist. But in the jungles of Vietnam under fire there was a 100% of the men praying to God. Now thats what I call faith in atheism.

Look around you and see how the world is put together, now get in your car and look around...see how it's put together. Most of use could be convinced that your car came from nothing before we could be convinced that God did not create the earth and every thing on it. So we are the only Smart life forms on the planet earth after evolution...so does that make us mutans? or did we just get dropped off here by aliens and forget to get back on the mother ship??

You have to have faith that your senses correlate at least vaguely with the outside world.
Kind of like believing that you really are a human and aren't a squirrel dreaming you're a human.

Prefix "a" meaning "no" or "none"
Root word "theos" meaning "god"
Atheists believe there is no God. It is a belief.
Faith definition according to dictionary.com:
2. belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.
There is no proof that God doesn't exist, and yet they believe that God doesn't exist. They base it on evidence that they believe leads away from the existence of God.
