After WW2, we forced the Emperor of Japan to tell the Japanese that he was not a God. But we allow freaks like Moon Sun Young to proclaim that they are the father of humanity on US soil. People should have the freedom to worship, but when something is an obvious fraud, shouldn't these people be silenced? How can we force the emperor of japan to say such a thing, and allow people on our own soil to defraud emotionally frail people out of their life savings? I admire Christianity, but why are some allowed to get away with blatant fraud?

Most frauds are exposed and dismissed. Even though we have charlatans out there who scam people in the name of religion and faith, we do have the First Amendment. My lawyer buddy used to tell me that the state would have to have a compelling interest in making a law for the situation. I guess many would call this compelling, but we do have things to keep in balance here. Most Christians can spot a fraud, because the fraud winds up contradicting the Bible somehow.

The government absolutely cannot tell preachers what to say; that would be a violation of the first amendment. In the case of fraud, if it can be proved in court, then sue the liars. Some h ave gone to jail for fraud.

Freedom of speech. If the goverment were given the power to censor preachers, then they'd also have the power to censor all Americans. Bad idea. :)

Yes, someone had it right. Boils on the body always come to a head and are drained.
