April 1, 3975 BC is when life started on this earth. The Bible doesn't say that he did or didn't have a dinosaur for a pet so for anyone to make such a comment is "only" giving an opinion.

You have to base my answer on knowing that the first calendar ever used was a Jewish calender. Second, that the person knows something about the bible, otherwise you will think that my answer is wrong, April 1, 3975 BC.

Given the fact that, according to the Bible, Adam was created on the sixth day of our planet’s existence, we can determine a Biblically-based, approximate age for the earth by looking at the chronological details of the human race. This of course assumes that the Genesis account is accurate, that the six days of creation described in Genesis were literal 24-hour periods, and that there were no ambiguous chronological gaps.
The genealogies listed in Genesis chapters five and eleven provide the age at which Adam and his descendants each begot the next generation in a successive ancestral line from Adam to Abraham. By determining where Abraham fits into history chronologically and by adding up the ages provided in Genesis chapters five and eleven, it becomes apparent that the Bible teaches the earth to be about 6,000 years old, give or take a few hundred years.

angelica: The last time I checked, Adam fell off the dinosaur playing his electric guitar !!! On a more somber note, Dinosaurs existed prior to the creation of our first parents. The earth is thousands of millions of years old and when you read the Bible (Genesis) account of the earth being created it is a re-creation of the earth's surface to sustain human life and the dinosuars were now, extinct by then. The Genesis account should better read, " In A [not "the"] Beginning, God created Heaven and the earth". Remember; you already have the earth in existence, for the Spirit of God to move upon the deeps [waters] which covered the earth at that time.

The Bible gives no specific date for the beginning of the creation process. It details about 6,000 years of human history, but there are no exact years given.

And as for the pet dinosaur part: yes. His name was Dino and he was purple :) J/K

In the beginning. I believe in the Bible record, because it is my God's eyewitness account on what happened in the beginning.

The Bible does not mention Adam having a pet dino.It is a mistake to assume that the partial record is false.: )

2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

No pets were given to Adam. He did get a woman to play with but he would have been better off with a nice Dino.

Approximately 6,500 years ago. No, dinosaurs were extinct before the creation of the world. Everyone knows that.
