There are some. American Atheists has a lobbying group, as does the Center for Inquiry (which also is head of the Council for Secular Humanism).

Atheists dont have to lobby, only religion does as they have a desperate need for others to believe. Frankly Im tired of turning the TV on and seeing these corrupt people preaching about the lord while they are out there havin affairs and more. Sheeesh at least atheists dont feel they have to answer to anyone except themselves.

They do have a lobbying group its called the four fathers and the Constitution Of The United States Of America. Of course laws and civil rights never get in the way of a pissed off fundamentalist.

I've often wondered if it wouldn't make sense for atheists to take a more visible approach to our place in society.
I don't know exactly what that would look like, but it just seems strange to me that some of the most peaceful and law-abiding citizens have such a bad rep.
