It is a myth that cracking your joints causes arthritis. it is an old wives tale. When you pop your knuckles, it pulls your bones apart and makes a gas pocket in your joint that breaks it's usual seal. This is why you hear the crack. The only harm done by cracking your joints is that it really annoys other people.

because as you age you get calcium build up around the joints and you get arthritis
