Every time I drink Dr.Pepper (not diet, not caf-free) I get really hyper, but when I drink Mountain Dew or something else it has no effect on me?

It's not just Mt. Dew it's other sodas also,I don't think it's the caffien though i think it's the sugar. Thanks to Stacey C for the list. It told me that it wasn't the caffein!

Because Dr. Pepper is delightful, but Mountain Dew will turn your stomach... or at least it turns mine. Actually, I've noticed that, while caffeine doesn't effect me when I drink it, if it's in a pill I get very jittery. I think maybe there's something in the composition of Dr. Pepper that helps you absorb caffeine differently than other beverages.

Both contain caffeine, and I think Mountain Dew has more than other sodas, including colas. Maybe it's the sugar content in Dr. Pepper, or some other ingredient.

When you drink Dr. Pepper your body may react differently to the ingredients then to those in Mountain Dew. Either way, I would say that caffine has a large role to play in your hyperness. If it is really that big of a problem, stop drinking soda all together. It isn't really that great for you anyways.

because there is more caffine in dr. pepper than in mountain dew. i know i didnt think so either but its true. the amount of dr.pepper has may only be a little bit more than mountain dew but different bodies react differently to different amounts a caffine. when you body reaches that certain amount you get hyper but the only way for you get hyper is to reach that amount and then your top blow!

You're probably having a sugar high and reacting to the caffiene.
