does anybody know if I can find out if someone would go to a minimum or maximum prison in New york? does it depend on the crime or length of time? and does anybody know about any of the prisons in NY? I appreciate any help.

I know someone who works at a county maximum prison in New York and he said that it depends on the charges and history of past crime record.

After serving a certain amount of years in a Max and you are getting close to your parole date they will usually transfer you to a Minimum.

Their not realy too many of them because NYC is so safe, but it probly gos by the crime.
