If he drinks alcohol, he should stop, but that is easier said than done. Depending on the degree of damage, he might have only the choice of having a liver transplant. They sometimes have people on a low protein diet (to keep ammonia levels down from the nitrogen in the protein)..because the ammonia is harder on the liver...sometimes they give a medication to absorb ammonia/nitrogen in the gut (Lactulose)..frequent doses throughout the day...it is up to his doctor what treatment they do...

or drugs not a thing you can do about it
without seeing a Dr
