You want help, let us at Yahoo!Answers help you not make a big mistake: You need to drop the whole idea of breeding dogs. Why would you pay anything? He shouldn't be charging you a dime! The dog isn't even registered! Why are you breeding YOUR dog for that matter! To even consider this proves you have no business breeding dogs to begin with. That and the fact that you can't even spell the name of the breed correctly. Would you know the signs of a problem delivery if you saw them? Would you know what to do if your dogs doesn't take care of her litter? Save yourself the trouble and just don't do it. There are PLENTY of German Shepherd Dogs to go around as it is.

Why would you pay him? His dog is not registered and even if it looks like a pure breed, chances are it is not and that is why he got the dog so cheap. Offer him pick of the litter if you choose to use his dog. But remember that you can not get papers for the puppies that your dog has if it is bred by his non papered dog. You really don't know what the pups will look like. All so you don't know what health problems his dog has in it's background. I would really think twice about using his dog as stud.
I hope this helps you out.

Well, I'm sure all the books you read on breeding offered at least some examples of stud fees. You did read books about breeding? You could use your money to save lives by donating it to a German Shephard rescue. Don't breed while others die.

He isn't registered, he obviously wasn't able to be registered, either not a purebred, or not worthy in someone's mind. Why breed your registered dog to a dog that isn't registered?? Why not spend a few bucks and breed to a quality registered dog?
IF you HAVE to breed to the MUTT, and yeah that is what an unregistered dog is, cause he has no proof that he is purebred, no matter what someone told him, cause he has no papers, then it shouldn't cost a cent. He isn't worthy to be bred, so there should be no charge. Don't do it!

Your friends German Shepherd may be beautiful and well cared for but $80 and without papers... he probably isn't even purebred. He wasn't meant to be bred so don't do it.
Your dog may be registered and expensive but has she been screened for hip and elbow dysplasia? Has your friends dog been screened for these major hereditary (genetic) diseases? If not, you definitely should NOT breed you dog. Has either dog got CHAMPION bloodlines or a CHAMPION title? If not, DO NOT BREED!!!!
I'm not giving you a price because I really truly think that you should spay your dog. The GSD breed is very prone to hip and elbow (mainly elbow) dysplasia and the people who DO breed SHOULD be trying to improve the breed and minimise the possibility of their dogs offspring getting any form of dysplasia when he is older.

A dog without papers... that cost 80 bucks.... stud fee should be free.... If anything, your girl is too much for him.
You only pay $100+ when the stud has papers, has a title AND has many dogs with the letters CH (meaning champion) in his pedigree, has been OFA certified for good or excellent hips, and is free of most hereditary diseases that affects GSD (god knows there are many of them)

Well for one I wouldn't be breeding your dog with a non reg. dog. You can't sale the puppies and stud fee is the price of a puppy. Now if you just want her to have puppies because you already have good homes for them for free...... then you need to charge nothing.
