So what proof and evidence Atheism is not based on, which makes it a faith?

I'm seeing a lot of attacks on Atheism. & the most ludicrous assumptions! ANY intelligent, well informed person KNOWS that Atheism is the opposite of faith. Tribble has to be kidding! Atheism is a FAITH & a RELIGION? HELLO? It's sort of amusing. (I have some very good Buddhist, Hindu & Christian friends, so no one can dare call me biased.) It certainly appears--a psychological quirk--that if those who reaize they simply CANNOT make us "believers," then all they're left with is to insult us by yapping that we are indeed a religion. Good grief. I thought I was still in Philosopy where most of this stuff comes up, inappropriately. I'm OUT of here!

It makes them feel better to think it is a faith just like them. They already know that they are way behind on the evidence, so they have to try to make it seem equal.

A user called "Only My Opinion Counts!" has been lecturing me via email about how atheism is a "belief system". I pressed her for a more detailed explanation as to the teachings derived specifically from atheism, and.... then she called me "stupid" and told me to go away.

Not believing in the Yellow Turtle Godess also takes 'faith'.
