Depends on the service center processing times. Have you checked the service center processing times recently? Choose apporpriate service center and look for
Change of status to F or M academic or vocation student categories. If your date is before the processing date call USCIS. Talk to your international office. they will call USCIS as well

My average time is about 4 months. However, I did a COS for a B-2 to F-1 and it took about a month. Surprised all of us. A lot of places will let you take part time classes on an F-2 so you may be able to do that while you're waiting for your COS to come through.
