Let's see.....what is a Chaplin? A Chaplin is a man of God, whether he is a minister, priest, rabbi or whatever. What does a man of God do? I would think praying would be #1 on that list. I doubt they will keep any Chaplin's if they make praying against the rules.

Hell NO
Next to a Navy Corpsman (that's medic to you civilians) Chaplins are the greatest human beings I have ever met. They have helped recruits in all the Boot Camps of our armed forces. They have given faith to our Armed Forces even in this questionable war.
The day they are forced to stop praying is the day I question our armed forces. Are armed forces protect our way of religion, it's only fair when a Soldier, Salior, Airman, and a Marine need prayer, a Chaplin is there to lead them.....

Military Chaplins are ordained members of the church who deploy with units to provide spiritual guidance, and understanding, why should they stop having to pray?

What would they do then?
I had a chaplain who was a different religion then me- and I never prayed with him, but he was a good guy and was a good counselor for all types of soldiers- giving them a chance to sound-off to a senior officer with the unit leader's ear- about stuff that was bothering them professionally
Chaplains do a lot more then pray- but I doubt you have any actual experience as a soldier.

While strict non-establishment of religion SHOULD exist throughout the armed forces, military chaplains serve an important role in supporting the morale of religiously-inclined soldiers. As long as the military provides equal access to chaplains of all religions and denominations, I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to fulfill their pastoral duties.

Why?
I suppose you might try to argue that tax payers
paying the salaries and for the resources of these
people is state sanctioned religion - except we pay
for no particular type of religion - only to supply
a requirement of our armed forces.
No, of course we should have military chaplains.

Absolutely not. Please don't give anyone the idea. lol
They as much needed in the military as anywhere else. More in a lot of ways. The sacrifices our military makes for our freedom, they can use all the spiritual help they need.
