I tried to burn some data on a CD but the software would not work for some reason. Can i use a different program like CDBurnerXP or FinalBurner. I don't want to mess up anything on his computer. His burner program is Record Now, but I couldn't get it to work...Thx!

If you really do need to burn the CD, you could try plugging in an external CD writer, so as not to jeopardise the safety of your uncle's computer. The problem might be a hardware one (i.e. your uncle's burner is faulty). I usually use NERO or NTI CD and DVD Maker 7 to burn CDs or DVDs, hope that helps.
