Mexican culture and history is wonderful... but there're some aspects about people that I don't like.
Me, as a Mexican myself, I must tell you that many of them have grown-up with a traditional closed-minded way of life where the machism still tries to dominate girls.
However, let me tell you that world is changing and several Mexicans are open-minded and respectful... but I rarely find them. I have had too many quarrels and fights with Mexican guys because I am a very straightforward mexican girl who doesnt allow others to ban my ideas.
I am proud of being Mexican, but I don't like their ways. They think that if you're feminist and struggle to study then you're a stuck up, Another thing is that (unfortunately) they don't open to themselves to interact with other cultures because their parents maybe didn't teach them how to have tolerance and respect for diversity. ... i am having that problem because I love study so much and I love foreign languages, I have many foreign friends (most of them), and my boyfriend is Chinese.
However, as I previously mentioned, it depends of the family and how today's generations are raised. My parents are strict but open minded and respectful to other races. My best friend is Chinese and they adore her so much and allow her to come and leave my house anytime she wants, she is part of the family.
I think there's no need of mentioning my nationality because it's quite clear.

Well. I Think the Mexican culture is very rich and interesting. The people are nice and cheerful. The only thing i don't like about this country is that a lot of people are not as open minded as they should be. They are very traditional and many of them wont try to do something "out of the ordinary".
My nationality...mmm..well..my mom is Spanish and my dad is French but the funny part is that i was born in MEXICO!
So i guess we can say I'm Mexican.

Spent two weeks in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific Coast about six years ago and loved every minute of it. We went horse riding in the mountains which was fantastic (though one guy fell of his horse and broke his shoulder) and we went for a trip in a small plane up to San Sebastien high up in the Sierra. And a safari trip into the rain forest, with a picnic and swimming on a secluded beach. Terrific! But then last year we went on a cruise, and stopped for a day on Cozumel and did not like it at all! We went horse riding again hoping it would be as much fun as before, but it was not! It was a rip-off! So I have to say, I'll take the West Coast Mexicans anytime. Cancun and Cozumel you can keep!
Love Mexican food and tequila and beer with half a lime. Salsa made with onions, chillies, tomatoes and coriander.( I make it all the time now) I have a crush on Salma Hayek and watching Speedy Gonzalez cartoons. I'm British.

Mexico has a very rich history, some of the most important prehispanic cultures in America (the continent) were found between Mexico and Peru.
Mexicans are nothing like the stereotype of the guy sitting under the cactus taking a siesta. Mexico does have some small beautiful towns as well as large cities with skyscrapers and freeways.
Food is very diverse.. not only enchiladas, tacos (not made with taco shells like those you buy at the supermarket) . Each state has its regional dishes.

Well I'm Mexican. Culture there are some holidays that I like but there are some that I don't have a clue what they mean. Well food I love it, I can't eat a lot of spice food, but its pertty good. Okay, well Mexicans are hard working people, they have many goals, there families are always their priorities, and most are very freandly. Some men are usually very possesive though. I honestly don't like that. There are also some that think they are better than women, which I disagree with. I think thats it!

I'm American and lived in San Antonio, TX for many years--which of course has a huge Mexican influence. Many of my friends in school were Hispanic (most of Mexican descent), so I got to enjoy lots of fun family events with great food. And I really miss homemade tamales at Christmas....yum!! I LOVE Mexican food!! I make it all the time....last night in fact.
I have never been into the interior of Mexico, only the border towns. But it was always fun. What else.....oh, I have an aunt from Mexico.
Hope that helps!

English here ;o)
I guess the general perception of Mexico is based on clichés. One thinks of sombreros, Saguaro cacti, 100 types of chili, nachos, tacos, salsa, poverty and AYE AYE AYE music.
Fact is, it's a country with an incredibly rich history, coined by the Maya and waves of intruders from foreign countries, which led to a colourful mix of tradition and modern influences. I imagine it to be a very interesting country to visit.
