Sorry Michael, but yes, you CAN prove it.

Think about it. The existence of God as well as the Bible being the Word of God can be proved through the vehicle of prophecy. To see the evidence of this, we must first establish the fact that God is a spirit who dwells outside of our physical time domain--that is, in eternity. In the Bible, God describes Himself in Isaiah 57:15,

"For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: 'I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit.'"

If God dwells in the realm of eternity as the Bible states, then He must be able to declare future events as if they had happened in the past. We who live in the physical restraints of time and space have the disadvantage of seeing the world according to a timeline. But God sees the past and the future as one complete picture.

"Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,'" Isaiah 46:9-10

So through the vehicle of prophecy, God throws down the gauntlet to all the other "holy books" and all the other "gods" that dare to claim the title. The God of the Bible challenged in Isaiah 41:22-23,

"Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; let them show the former things, what they were, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; yes, do good or do evil, that we may be dismayed and see it together."

OK, there is the challenge from the God of the Bible. No other book contains prophecy that has been fulfilled with accuracy. See studies below.

Well, u can't. I mean it's what u believe and it's what she believe. In other religion, they think that they are the right one. Christians say they are right, Buddha say they the real think, etc, etc. Just be tolerance. What's so wrong about co-existing with diffrerent cultures and religions. Go ahead be a friend with a Muslim. While u are at it, find other religion friends. It's a very good way to prevent war and fighting, thus stoping innocent killing. If ur friend convert to Christian, in her religion, she would go to Hell, so the chance of that happening is like a gajillion to one. By the way, Muslim are quite religious than any other religion. And if she convert into Christian, there will be no variety.

For your information, Islam also belive the resurrection of Jesus (in jerusalem). Christian and Islam has always got something in common except the God...

And your main questions, "Islam -vs- Christianity?" there's no such thing as that. But there's such thing as Islam vs Jews. What I don't get is that Israel is such a tiny country, they should be squashed by the Arabs if it weren't for America helping...Why is America helping Israel? What did Israel ever do to America that the government just had to help them?

I'm sorry if this offence anyone, I'M REALLY SORRY but i'm too lazy to hit the "backspace" button. I'M REALLY SORRY BUT THIS IS THE INCONVINIENT TRUTH and I'm not talking Al Gore...

Forgive me,

Now hit the "Best Answer" button.

P.S. Here's my life philosophy, "YOU CAN PREACH ALL YOU WANT, BUT WHO'S GONNA SAVE YOU WHEN YOU'RE AT THE BITTER END..."

I don't think that Jesus would be there holding your hand when you're dying you long, cold, bitter, lonely end, now, do YOU???!!!

lol the funny thing is, we already know about Jesus, and God has told us about the blasphemy of the trinity in the Qu'ran

[005:072] Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "God is the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary." But the Messiah Jesus said: "O Children of Israel! Worship God, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with God, then God has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers) there are no helpers.

[005:073] Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "God is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no god (none who has the right to be worshipped) but God alone. And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall on the disbelievers among them.

[005:074] Will they not turn with repentance to God and ask His forgiveness? For God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[005:075] The Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Mary] was a Siddîqah [i.e. she believed in the Words of God and His Books (see Verse 66:12)]. They both used to eat food (as any other human being, while God does not eat). Look how We make the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to them; yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth).

"I testify there is no deity worth of worship besides God, and Muhammad was his last and final messenger"
- This is what you have to believe to be a Muslim

She has probably read the bible and Torah, because Islam regards them as holy texts, though a bit corrupted. Many of them know alot about Christianity and Judaism, and have a good reason to believe in Islam. By trying to change her faith through debate you'll just be insulting her, and she'll probably be pushed further away from Christianity. Remember: actions speak louder than words. Be a message, not a missionary...

The first thing you would need to do is forget the trinity because the Bible does not say "God in three persons," not one single time, then talk about the early Christians that were persecuted and killed because they believed Jesus was resurrected. Historians have noted the firm conviction of the disciples that they had seen the risen Christ; the empty tomb by itself would not have transformed them. Why would they refuse to recant for something they had made up?
Another thing you can talk to them about is the reality of the Holy Spirit; that is if you go to a church that believes you can receive the Spirit baptism. Try to get them to visit a church that does believe in being filled with the Spirit.

If you truly believe in Christianity - then show your faith by your works.

Do not preach about Christainty. If she wants to talk about it, then have a conversation with her. Listen to what she says, and try honestly to answer the points she's bound to bring up. Never lie - if you don't know something honestly say you don't know it and find the answer together.

You can not force a conversion, or prove a religion. Instead you can show your own faith through what you do and say. That will show what lies in your heart.

A Christian can never prove a Muslim that Christianity is the right deal.
Islam claim itself to be the right religion, and they regard the scriptures that we (Christians) follow they also read the scriptures apart from the Koran the message of Allah.
Since the Koran itself says the scriptures are corrupt and its under dispute, they believe the Holy Bible in our hands are not true.
For this same reason they do not admit any things we say but will be adamant to their belief denying the Father, Son and the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

So you dont need to waste your time but remember:
John 1 : 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

You say you respect the Islamic faith, and yet you treat it like a disease your friend needs to be cured of.

I suggest that before you prove to Muslims that Christianity is the real deal, you should prove to everyone else it is the real deal. NO ONE ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET has proven that there is a God (or else there would be no atheists, now would there?).
If Christianity is supposed to be "better" than Islam on moral grounds, then I suggest you look at yourself. I SEVERELY DOUBT that your Islamic friend has ever thought to themselves, "How can I prove to my Christian friend that Islam in the real deal...?"

What you have asked is not only outrageously narrow-minded and arrogant, but also an insult to your very religion. Jesus did not go around trying to convert people. He led by his actions, and yours do not speak kindly.

Just stop. You and all your Christian friends, just stop. No one wants you to convert them. Leave them, and us, alone.

It will be hard to convince any Muslim that Christianity is the real deal.
They already have their mind made up as far as Jesus is concerned. They believe that Jesus was only a prophet and not the Son of God or God the Son.
The only suggestion that I can give you would be to pray that the Holy Spirit would give you guidance as to what to say to her. Pray for the eyes of her understanding to be opened up.
Also pray for her salvation.

Guess what May? your friend also believes in God, she just uses the Arabic word for God.

also, the whole point of having faith is the fact that it isn't provable. that's why you have to believe in it.

What should you say to her? "I'm sorry, I know we are friends but I think you're going to hell" May as well be honest. My Christian friends have said this to me before, and you know what? we function better on the understanding that I believe what I believe, and they believe what they believe. We are honest with each other.

and schneb? you can't prove something is true just by stating it as fact, that is a logical fallacy.
