I am a 19 year old Christian. I've been struggling with homosexual feelings. I decided I didn't want to fight how I feel anymore. I decided to become bisexual. With my struggling, I don't clearly understand if a person is saved and going to heaven living this lifestyle. Are there any Christians who can give me an answer from the bible or from personal experience please?

There are things that we all struggle with. If you didn't know deep down in your heart that this is wrong, you wouldn't even be asking. Being saved doesn't mean that you are without sin, but it means that you should strive to live without it, as Jesus Christ did. God didn't intend for his children to be homosexual, he designed man and woman specifically for each other. I don't know your heart, so I can't tell you if you are going to Heaven. I can tell you that if you pray about this, God himself will show you the way.

The Bible nowhere directly mentions bisexuality. However, it is clear from the Bible's denunciations of homosexuality that bisexuality would also be considered sinful. Leviticus 18:22 describes a person having sexual relations with the same sex as an abomination. Romans 1:26-27 condemns sexual relations between the same sex as abandoning what is natural. 1 Corinthians 6:9 states that homosexual offenders will not inherit the kingdom of God. These truths apply as equally to bisexuals as they do to homosexuals.
The Bible tells us that a person becomes bisexual or homosexual because of sin (Romans 1:24-27). This does not necessarily mean sins the person has committed. Rather, it refers to sin itself. Sin warps, twists, and perverts everything in creation. Bisexuality and homosexuality are caused by sin "damaging" us spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Sin is the plague, and bisexuality is simply one of the symptoms.

Many Christians mistakenly focus on bisexuality and homosexuality as particularly evil sins. The Bible nowhere describes homosexuality as being any less forgivable than any other sin. A bisexual is the same number of steps away from salvation as the "moral" legalist - one. God offers forgiveness to anyone and everyone who will trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. This includes those involved in bisexuality. Once salvation through Christ is received, God will begin the process of destroying the acts of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21), including any and all homosexual tendencies, and developing the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). The promise of a "new creation" is available to anyone who will trust in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Christianity is based on Jesus' teachings, correct? Jesus never said anything about homosexuality and trust me - it DID exist in his day, he would have been well aware of it, and if it was something really important to God and Jesus, don't you think he would have said something about it?

The people who did have negative things to write about 'homosexuality' in the bible feared pretty much everything they didn't understand. They were extremely homophobic, sexist, and racist even for their time and culture. Are these the type of people and messages that we want to structure our modern society around? Hell NO! If we did, most of us would lose many of the rights we take for granted and enjoy.

Follow what Jesus actually taught. There are some good things there and none of them have to do with homosexuality. Be a good person, treat others as you want to be treated, be respectful, try not to lie or cheat, and believe in Jesus as your savior and you're going to be fine. God would want you to lead a full life and a full life DOES include your sexuality - the sexuality you were gifted by God. Our sexuality is not a choice, it's a gift from God and God wants us to enjoy her gifts.

God made you who and what you are, He loves you no matter what. I believe it is wrong to use sex to manipulate another person, if you use them for your own selfish needs with no concern about the other's feelings, (which many straight and even married people do) or when it is violent or against the other person's wishes. I think it is best to choose one (hetero or homosexuality), and stick with it, but that is just my personal opinion. Your prospective partners have a right to know if you go both ways. Everyone is going to heaven, because there is no place else to go.

hopefully you're not sleeping with guys... or anyone as a christian. you shouldnt be fornicating anyway. from the bible homosexuality is a sin and it comes about by being depraved and turning from God and into yourself as it says in romans chapter 2. also it says that you cannot serve both masters which are satan and God because there is only room in the human heart for one master, you will either hate the other and love the other. so if you just keep worshipping God through Jesus Christ and read the bible and pray and pray to be forgiven of your sins and be purged with the blood of Jesus and go to a christian church the homosexuality in you will fade away and maybe in the process satan will make the urges get stronger and try to get you to think about it so you will do more gay acts, but if you trust in the Lord and do th required things to get closer to him any problem like homosexuality, drinking, or anything else will be rid of by the power of Jesus God and the Holy Spirit and you will be clean and made a new creature and worthy to go into God's eternal rest which is heaven. Just repent from ALL your sins and call Jesus, seriously. God Bless.

Also a big mistake is confusing Christianity with Catholicism, because all catholics do is hate and judge you and have false doctrines and will try to punish you and judge you which is not their job anyways. God loves us all and wants us to get out of sin or else afterlife if you havent repented and accepted Jesus he will have no choice but to be a fair judge and pass sentence on those who are still sinners and send them to hell. but don't worry thats why he sent his son jesus for us and with Jesus on your side you will win.

It says in the bible that homesexuality is a sin in more then one place. (Lev. 18:22) (Rmns. 1:26) In the bible it says that "all thingsare possible through Christ who strengthens me." I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but one of the hardest things about being a Christian is getting rid of those demons that try to pull you down. I don't want you to feel like im judging you, but i do believe that as a Christian you have the strength in Christ to get rid of those feelings that you have. Good luck

You are what you are. Christianity cannot change that nor should it condemn it. There are gay churches in major cities. There are also denominations (such as the Episcopalians) who are more accepting than others. If you want to remain christian, I would suggest you seek out other christians like yourself, not try to change the prejudices of some more conservative christians.

At at time like this, you need a local support group more than you need the R&S debate between "you go girl" and "you're going to burn".

Good luck.

you need to understand that you are committing fornication either way and being a christian you know that is a sin and once we have come to an age of understanding like you have we are held accountable for our sins obviously you have fallen to sin and allowed your carnal man to win the battle but it is not too late to repent and ask the Lord to deliver from these feelings and He can this can be done by seeking the Lord in His word and fellowship with Him and he will answer your prayers but you have tp really want deliverance aren't you glad that He gave us a free will? and in this case grace and mercy? repent and mean it and God will forgive you.

Homosexuality is an abomination..
Read the Book of Romans, you will understand what HE says about this...
According to the Bible, no, homosexuals will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven unless you repent and change your ways...
And I dont care how many thumbs down I get, this is in the Bible....

Feelings, urges, temptations, etc. are not sins. You do have control over your actions, however, and God will hold you accountable for those. You have been given a great cross, and the greater the cross, the greater the crown -- IF you are willing to carry your cross and follow Jesus.
