some people say its a country bumpkin white person who lives in the hills or country, listens to nothing but country music, uneducated, driving pickup trucks, mating with family members, etc.
Honestly- while some of those may be true- i really am not sure which ones arent.
for me though- a redneck is a skin irritation

A redneck is usually an individual from the South. Most grew up in the rural country and actually knows what work is. Most are proud to be rednecks and would rather be a redneck than a sissy metro-sexual from the city. They know how to fight and have won and lost plenty for proof. You can make fun all you like but whom makes up most of the military and is currently fighting for our freedom?? Their ruff, tuff, and don't take crap from anyone ,and probably the only thing keeping the USA from becoming like the French. And no they don't marry their relatives, that would be some mentally disturbed individuals. Rednecks also have a more free spirit because they can careless what others think. They have fun, have pride in their heritage, love their family (not in a sick way) and are hard to break their spirit. If that is wrong then I don't want to be right. However, there always bad apples in any bunch.

he-he...i`m from Nova Scotia and we know ALL about rednecks! Here`s a couple of examples to let you know IF you are a redneck:..if you go water skiing and your skis are sneakers nailed to 2 boards..u r a redneck. ..if you have a social event and your hors`deurves are weiners and bologna on a cracker..u r a redneck..and if your idea of great fishin` is a fishing rod and a 6ft. deep pothole...U JUST MIGHT BE A REDNECK!! hey..check out comic Jeff Foxworthy!!! his specialty is REDNECKS.

someone that paints the # of their favorate NASCAR driver on their finger nails
someone that has a blindfolded beer tasting party to determine wether it is bit-ch beer or not
someone that has more dogs than they can count, literaly
someone that spends more time with their car than with their wife
ect......
