30 really isn't that old. If you think about how many years you've already lived. Really, think about all the memories you have from your first day at kindergarten to now its pretty impressive right? Now realize that twice that amount of years and memories is only 60 years old, which isn't even the expected age for people to live to; that's still another 20 years from then. That's insane! You still have so much you can do with your life. Just because everyone else may seem set around you doesn't mean that in the next year you couldn't change everything. Enjoy your life you have so much left of it to live! and last but not least Happy Birthday!

OMG, Happy Birthday! I'm turning 30 this year too!! I even asked a question earlier about what it's like in your 30's. Everyone in their 30's seem to like it cause they seem more content and know more of who they are. I think that's when most of the things we worked hard for when we're in our 20's finally gets paid off. Or, at least, I hope. Anyways, cheer up cause the best is yet to come. Take care!:)

In my experience, the 30's were far better than the 20's. You might want to think about why you are depressed. Was there something you thought would happen in your 20's that didn't happen? Did you think something would be different now than it is? Look at yourself. If you're healthy, then just about anything is still possible. Create goals for yourself. Put them up where you can see them daily, and aim towards them. Resolve to be able to celebrate the next decade birthday with satisfaction and joy, and I'm sure you will be able to do just that.

I felt bad about turning 30. Almost even ashamed to be so old. I didn't see anything special about my thirty-something friends. They weren't cute. They weren't fussed over. And I actually saw one stop another in the hall at work and asked her to remove a whisker from her chin -- and she DID!! Freaked me out! I thought, "Oh, no, no, no! I will never grow a whisker and, if I do, I will never admit it -- much less ask someone else to PLUCK it for me in the hall at work!"

Now for the good news -- your thirties will be among the best years of your life. You have learned so much in the first 30 years of your life that you are just now starting to get good at it. Plus, you still have the dexterity of youth, but you know better how to use it.

Even better news -- it gets even better at 40! Anything you may start to lose physically, such as slower reflexes, you more than make up for in mental acuity! It's why older folks never want to trade places with younger folks. You will really prize your newfound understanding.

Maybe you can cheer yourself by dressing up and going out for an extravagant dinner -- something you couldn't afford in your 20s. Anyway, just grit your teeth and bear it. You will outlive that feeling. Besides, what else can you do?

Many happy returns of the day!

Get over it,the older you get the better life gets.I terned 32 in Jan.I feel fabulous, look good for my age and all I can honestly say is 30 hit me hard because of getting older but now that I'm in my 30's well.....its a whole different story.I feel like the dumb **** is over,I think once you get over ur 20's something happens not like its a bad thing but something happens good. You become more aware, more knowing, and most importantly you finally figure out what it was all along that was deep down inside yourself you had to figure out..........only comes with age.Be lucky its only 30,not 90 at least you can still remember it.

tomorrow will never come for some people. I understand what you are saying though, getting older can really play mind games with you, but tomorrow is your day to celebrate your life and I'd venture to say you have some things to celebrate. Make is special, do only what you want, take a personnel day from work, sleep in, take a long bubble bath, see the movie you've been dying to see, go buy yourself something you've wanted, and enjoy yourself and those you love, Happy Birthday To you, and may God bless you on your special day.

The best time of your life is your 30's! You start to know who you are as a person, you come into your own in your career, and, as they say 30 is the new 20!

Happy Birthday and Enjoy it!
