If I went up to talk to you or did something to acknowledge the fact i want to get to know you, and you've only seen me once or twice in the hallway, what would be something you'd wanna hear, or your preferences on outfits, hairstyles, compliments, etc.?

If you went up to talk to me and I haven't even talked to you and it was pure randomness you came to talk to me I would be surprised and happy. It always makes a girl feel good when a guy thinks you're pretty. When you go up to a girl and you are hot you always have a big advantage. If you're not then you might have to try a little bit harder but you can still impress a girl just as much as a more atracttive guy could. I would put on an outfit you haven't worn all school year that you think you look great in. It doesn't matter what other people think. Do your hair a little out of the ordinary. Don't do complimeants the first few times you talk to her cause they just make a girl feel uncomfortable if they don't have a compliment to say back. Simply say "hey" and walk with her to her next class. It will go from there. If it doesn't then it might not be right at that moment so don't try to hard.

Well, here is my opinion. If you have any classes with her, talk to her in them. Or, try to get involved in so,ething that she does or likes. eing frinds first, can usually end up in a relationship. Its not a bad plan. If you only see her in the hall. Well, maybe walk up to her and tell her she looks nice. Comming from a girl, she probably thinks she is having a bad hair day or something. A compliment is always a nice boost. As far as outfits, ahirstyles and everthing go, just be yourself. it sounds lame, but trust me. Guys dont like fake girls and girls dont like fake guys. Honestly, it depends on the kind of girl you're after. Alternative/Rock girls like me wouldn't really want to hear what you think of our outfits. Sort of shallow. Try talking about music if that's the girl you want. If you want preppy, I've seen that typical stuff works best, like trying to be macho, or trying to act cool. you have to have taken a shower that morning! don't smell that could ruin it for you lol but other than that say hi tell her she looks nice things like that then ask for a phone number so you can talk about anything that you guys have in common like do you have a class with her or a mutual friend or anything use any excuse possible she will know that is what you are doing and if she gives it to you then it is a good sign!!!! good luck

no compliments to pitch the line! please no, thats childish and lame.
just act like your self that is what girls like and want in a guy.
go up to her and say "hi i know we dont know eachother, but i would like to get to know you, my name is...."
and shake her hand... this is much better than bombarding her right away with cheesey lines and creepy remarks. just be nice and be yourself BE REAL!
the hardest part is walking up to her, the rest will fall into place i guarentee it:)

i would want to know that you noticed something that i'm interested in that you like too...clubs, classes, music....say something like "hey i noticed you _____, i like doing that too, maybe we could talk about it sometime. I'd really like to get to know you..."
be yourself but try to find some common-ish ground for the two of you to talk about at first, or the conversation will go nowhere
after that, you should try to share interesting things about yourself

it depends on every girl you meet... it also depends on our likes... try to find out first who she is... in that way you will know her better and that... i think... is the time you will use to make you know her...
again... i'm saying it again... it depends on the girl... so i think ... observe the girl's attitude.
