you can lift weights everyday if you feel like it! if your body doesnt get sore, go for it. if you are doin resistance training and trying to build muscle, id advise you don not train the same muscle on consecutive days. you muscles need time to recover and repair, to grow.

you can lift them everyday as long as you don't work the same muscle group two days in a row. Your muscles will need a days rest in between workouts. I wouldn't recommend do them everyday. I would say 3-4 days max. The reason is, if you do it everyday, you will get burnt out fast and eventually give it up. Your body will start to tire and you will start feeling bad. Just make sure you eat right and drink a lot of water.

You can work out with a certain muscle group day after day if they are not sore, but when your muscles are sore they have been worked to their maximum potential and are "rebuilding" stronger then before. Muscle being sore is usually a good thing, unless your objective is just weight loss.

The American College of Sports Medicine offers guidelines for cardiovascular, flexibility and resistance training. The guidelines are flexible enough to allow you to pick your own exercises but have enough structure to get you going when you first start out. They are pretty easy to follow and will make your workout easier and more efficient.
