Carrots will stay fresh longer if you refridgerate them. The same applies to any fresh vegetable.

Not for health reasons, they don't. However, they stay much nicer -- nicer looking and feeling and tasting -- much longer if they are kept cool.

not really but they should be kept in cool place like celar or cool garage
