18 yr old daughter has had knee probs last 9 years. Was told it was oscarshlater (cant spell it) and it has gotten worse instead of better. She has bruises on them all the time, they swell up, She can't stand for long time, can't play sports, or even a day at the mall with friends and she is in serious pain. She soaks in hot tub 2-3 times a day to relieve pain, Dr ordered Physical therapy, she went for a month, at times in so much pain she missed school. My daughter never complains about anything, goes to school when she has cold, ect, hates to miss, Saw orthopedic specialist and he has ordered more PT,. She does have flat feet, we got insoles made to correct that, still no relief, any help out there?

I had a similar situation. They ended up doing exploratory knee surgery and found out that it was plica build up. They couldn't even see it on MRI's. It was huge and very painful! Have they done MRI's? If not then you should really think about MRI's and exploratory surgery. I am still not the same but a lot better than it used to be!

What you mean is Osgood-Schlatter. They say it typically resolves on its own when the child stops growing. Ice is recommended to reduce the inflammation, not hot soaking. Physical therapy seems to be the typical treatment along with time and avoiding sports that inflame it.

You might get a second opinion, just in case. With the right spelling, you can now search on the Internet and try and learn more about it.

I myself have knee pain , mine goes along with nerve damage to my back , but i am forever getting bruises on my knee , and I do not have to even fall , I too was sent to PT which is funny because I know all the stretches considering I was a PT before all this happened, anyway my point is , have you ever even if she feels no pain to it had her back checked? or they have a test called a eeg for nerve damage, have they tested her for that? I would def. before your next doctors apt, write down every single question you have and bring it to your doctor! remember no question is stupid, also remember your doctor works for you , do not let them push you around you have a right to ask the questions you need and ask for the tests you want! I know how badly the pain can be they need to control her pain till they can figure out exactly whats going on with your precious little girl , I know it has to be hard for you as well , to watch her in pain ! I will certainly keep both of you in my prayers!

Doctors don't have all of the answers.
There is only one healing power i know of and that is Jesus Christ.
Any other way is only going to get you a one way ticket to hell.

Jesus is a God of wonder and He is the only one that can heal you.

I have seen blind eyes open, deaf ears hear, Cancer gone at the sound of Jesus name.

There is nothing that can withstand the power of God.

God bless!!!

I will be praying for you.
