I've know people and myself who have used Iams Tarter treats and they have no complaints. Iams is a highly trusted petfood supplier, despite what's just happened here recently. I wouldn't hesitate using the treats if I were youl

Honestly feeding Iams or any other "walmart" level type of food or treat is like you buying your girlfriend or wife a plastic ring instead of a diamond ring. Go with a holistic food brands treats.

If you stick with the same company its probably made out of similar materials and will help the pups stomach.

Holistic foods use better products in their foods and less fillers, they are better for them nutritionally.

Look for treats from Greenies, Wellness Program, Nutro Program, Canidae, Inova etc.

There are many products that will keep their digestive systems in better check and your rug safer from runny accidents, plus they wont just help their teeth, they will help them through out.

Science Diet is not a holistic food and uses corn as a filler product (which humans cannot even digest so why would a dog be able to?)

And I have heard the Iams thing too- they test their poorer products on lab dogs and often times ruin their digestive tracts and many other things with them. Dont know if it is true either but I have heard it.

Not sfae nor are they nutritious. Have you looked at the ingredients. Any meat and or meat-by-products. Do you know what this ingredient is derived from. In America they have what they call the 3D's. No animal is too dead, dis-eased, or dying to scrape off the road, these animals come from vet surgerys, local animals pounds. These are sent off to the rendering plants and put into huge cooking vats. All the scum that floats to the top is used in such products as your vaseline, facial creams, lipstick, hand creams etc. The stuff that settles to the bottom is added to the dry and wet food for your animal to injest. Would you purposely feed a dead infested animal to your dog? Then why feed it this stuff?

Although I don't know if there is any proof to support this but its said that the Iams company tortures their animals and their food formula shortens you're pets life.

Again, I'm not sure if theres any proof. Better safe then sorry though!

It should be safe.
Gwyneth, I have the video, it's true what they say about the torture, and that's why I banned all Iams products from my house, I use Dr Hills Scientific instead, with better results.
