specific leg toning exercises do nothing except make your thighs bigger (increase muscle mass in leg, making leg bigger). when you burn fat your burn it equally throughout your body, you cannot burn fat just off your legs, or just off your stomach or something. With proper diet and exercise you can remove much of the excess fat off of your body and thus removing it from your thighs. You actually want to eat many times a day, but only slight portions. This keeps your hypoglycemic index down and the food you take into your body is used rather than stored as fat. Exercise helps because it is your muscles, and your muscles alone that burn fat off of your body. When your work out you want to do a low intensity work out for a longer period of time (at least 20 minutes, longer is better) because this is how long it takes your body to reach it's anaerobic threshold, once this has been reached the body stops using oxygen as it's energy source and will start burning fat. Good luck with those thighs, it'll take hard work and some time, but you can do it with proper dieting and exercise.

Jump roping is a great way to stimulate the metabolism and help burn fat and at the same time tones the muscles in the legs. Also try doing squats, Hold 5 or 10 lb weights by your shoulders and pretend to sit down in a chair, then come back up. Also leg lunges are great. Hold your weights by your sides, keeping good posture in mind, and take one leg out to a lunge behind you, keeping your front knee at a 90 degree angle. Remember to incorporate some cardio into whatever routine you choose to perform (like jump rope) because that's what's gonna lose the fat around the legs and reveal the muscles you'll be toning.

1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.
Good LUCK!

When we lose weight, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing situps won't burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won't get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve.

Hey I'm only 15 and when I was fourteen I weighed 142 pounds and for my age that was really over weight. Then I talked to my doctor about a dieting plan. The commercials on television for those foods that you can eat really work I now weigh 110!!! :)

Running, skipping, jump rope, trampolining, and leg lifts and all the rest, but it'll take a lot of time and effort - especially if you're genetically made up to that balance - as much as it sucks.

Suck this in. Consciously hold in and contract your abdominals while you’re walking, sitting at the desk or making the an evening meal. This will help to strengthen your stomach muscles and your core, and bring you one step closer to any flatter stomach.
