NO!!! -- NOR is the oozing stuff coming out... IT ussually ends up all over because you have some oils from the plant on your hands or clothes.. and inadvertantly touch other parts of your body without washing your hands.. thus.. getting the plant oils on other areas... you may irriate the skin more... by scratching .. the surrounding areas... alot of time.. you can get the plant oils.. on bedding (like camping w/out shower...washing.. etc)... BUT IT IS NOT contagious .. from person to person or to yourself.. Unless you still have the plant oil on you and are spreading it .....

Yes, highly contagious if the oils are still present. If you get the oils on your clothes and don't wash them, you can still get poison ivy if you wear those clothes up to three days later! You can give poison ivy tosomeone else or spread it to another part of your body if you have not washed off the infected area.

If you know you may have been exposed, wash off the danger areas with soap and water ASAP. You might even be able to ward off a reaction if you get to it fast enough. If you already have the rash, wash the area and apply ample doses of calamine lotion or aloe vera. Be careful, calamine lotion stains horribly and is a bugger to try to get out. DON'T SCRATCH!! That could lead to an infection, or make it take longer to heal over.

Yes, sort of. The oil that the plant leaves on your skin that is soooooo irritating can be rubbed off and picked up by another person for some time after you where infected. Also the oil can be in any clothing you where wearing or things you touched. Wash everything and try to avoid scratching.

I even have by no ability had this yet i think you could attempt between right here: honey, baking soda tub (blend room temperature water with a million/2 cup of baking soda), white distilled vinegar, the old school white shoe polish (the style you shake up, acts like calamine lotion). Take into concerns issues like dermis allergic reactions until now randomly utilising issues to the contaminated section. Rubbimg the rash isn't at risk of unfold the rash to others or different aspects on your sons physique except the sticky substance is left on the palms, so verify for this.
