In an essay I'm writing would I say, "I quickly ran to the store," or would I say "I ran quickly to the store."

The position of the adverb does create different impressions.
"I quickly ran to the store" may imply how fast I reacted and sprang to the action "run".
"I ran quickly ..." refers to the speed of action "run".
Putting quickly at the end of the sentence weakens its emphasis.

I quickly ran to the store is better. I ran quickly to the store kinda sounds like quickly is a noun, like Bob. I ran Bob to the store. xD But I think instead of both of those you should say: Quickly, I ran to the store. 8th grade english. it got me far lol. I hope I helped!

I know it isn't one of the options but I would say: I ran to the store quickly.

Can you work with that?

Otherwise: I quickly ran to the store.

"I ran quickly to the store" is the correct one, because the other option splits the verb phrase I ran, which would be incorrect

"I quickly ran to the store" or
"Quickly, I ran to the store."

I think both are correct - simply a matter of preference. I'd probably use: I quickly ran...
