True Love???

i really want to find true love.. (i am a hopeless romantic) and i keep saying no to guys that ask me out cuz i am waiting for the 'right one'. my friends say that im stupid and that i should stop waiting and just date other guys, but i really want my love to be a special thing!!! when i see him i will kno that he is the right guy, and i havent seen him yet. should i keep waiting for the perfect guy for me or date other guys until i find him??

I understand you completely. I am at that point too. I've waited and waited and waited my entire life to find that one who I just believe I will know when I see her. Even the girls I've dated in the past didn't seem right, and I never felt completely happy with them. Later I would kick myself for wasting tme with them when they were not even what I'm looking for. The other night I had dinner with my mom and stepdad and we were talking about a lady who was interested in me and they recommended I go out with her even though I would not be going into it with a serious interest myself. True, she could be a wonderful person and we could have a lot of fun together and then I might end up in love, but I want the fireworks...I want that sinking feeling in the stomach when you see her the first time and then after. I say wait. Of course I do get very frustrated from time to time myself because I am not meeting anyone new, but I think that in time and when it is the right time it will happen. I've heard too many stories about how little things just happen to happen that there is no way it could be coincidence. You could go out with some of these guys for fun, but make it clear from the start that you just are in it for friendship only. It will happen, when the time is right.
