"Passion of the Christ" just the seeds that fell on the rocks and and among the thorns instead of the good soil? I noticed the movie was all about the torture but says nothing about his teachings...in long term was it strong enough to keep the faith of these followers.

You are correct. They grew for a while now they are dried up looking for another emotional rescue or experience.

A good friend of mine was brought to the Lord after watching this movie. The movie showed her the immense sacrifice that Jesus Christ had made for her. It showed her the pain and suffering that he went through in order to offer her salvation. If the graphic description of the torture that Jesus went through is not enough to show the world his love for all of us, I don't know what is. However, it wasn't just the movie ... my husband and I backed up the Lord's plan of salvation with scripture and she was saved that very night. This was a year ago and her faith is still strong. And she used to be an atheist and ten times as hateful towards Christians than anyone who posts on this forum. God reaches us all in different ways.

I thought the movie was one of the most violent films that I had ever seen. Had it been any character other than Jesus getting tortured and executed like that, the film would have gotten an "MA" rating.

And you'll note that it taught absolutely nothing about his teachings or ideas. The only sort of people this movie would appeal to have to be closet sadists.

The Passion of the Christ was a great movie that focused on the last 12 hours of Jesus Christ's life. These 12 hours were the most important in all history and His torture and death for us are of vital importance for the edification of our souls.

That's the answer to your real question right there. Just because you didn't like the Passion of the Christ, doesn't mean that other's necessarily agree with your opinion on its merit.

The Holy Spirit draws people to Christ. I know of a couple who saw the movie, drove around, stopped, and talked about it together, saying "We have to do something about this". They looked across the street and saw a church sign. The phoned the pastor, met him, put their trust in Christ, got baptized, joined the church, and continued.
We can "pooh pooh" things, but God is not dependent on all our perfect ways of evangelism to draw people to Him.
No, the movie itself did not give enough information, but a lot of people already have the information they can fill in.
EDIT:
Normally a number of people and events form a chain of links that bring a person to Christ. The person who is with them when they make a final decision is only one of many links in the chain.

Believe it or not, several Christians came to me and asked if that is the way people outside the Church saw Christianity. I answered, that I didn't know of anyone outside Christianity bothered to go see it, including me.

The movie just solidified for me what my saviour has done, and conquered.
There is always hope for "good soil", even in the torturous reminder.

That movie had nothing to do with Christ or His Word. The movie was nothing more than a lie! You can't take the Bible itself and prove that movie was base on the Bible (AV1611). "I think" and "I feel" don't count.

I think that you are right.
Sensationalism will draw many, but it can't keep 'em long term.
Good luck.
