i have a bottle of single barrel jack daniels unopened bottled in the year 2000, was wondering if it still tastes good or better with time,or does it not matter?

Technically aged whiskey is better than "new" whiskey. But it is usually aged in barrels. As for your bottle is it does not have "fuzz" on it (mold) drink away and enjoy it has not gone bad whiskey has no "shelf life" it could be good for hundreds of years, provided it has not been contaminated (see fuzz comment).

As long as the seal isn't broken, it is as good as new. Maybe better. I think Jack Daniels is aged 12 yrs to begin with. Smooth..........wanna share?

It has no shelf life. If you leave it open the alcohol will evaporate. But it wont spoil. CHEERS
