Chelsey,
Make an appt. to see your family Dr. and explain your symptoms. I was having this too with depression off and on, it was like a vicious cycle.
I was due for a Physical and I told my Dr. about feeling depressed. This lady Dr. referred me to another Dr. and it was JUST what "The Dr. ordered!!" (ha-ha)
Anyway, I had gotten so down and out, I finally went to see this other Dr. who deals with Depression problems, and I mean I walked in in TEARS! I'm not kidding! This was 2 yesrs ago and I'm over the depression and I'm alot different than I was when I first had problems!
As soon as I felt better, once seeing the Dr. often, I went out looking for a job when I had been out of work for 4 years, found a job and had an interview, and now I've been working steady.
Now days, I forget that I was EVER depressed because my life is great now and getting better.
So, my advice to you is, DON'T hesitate to see a Dr.
I finally took action when I got to the point that you did, the "UP and "down" of the happy/depressed moods. Get help right away!

It could be bipolar disorder, in which case mood stabilisers are the treatment of choice, or depression, where anti-depressants are more appropriate, and it is important to get it diagnosed properly the first time, and not receive the wrong medication, so I would be asking if there is any middle ground, or has there been, between the ups and downs? In other words, is it normal, everyday happiness, or a state of elation, when you feel that you can do just about anything? Put down on paper how you used to feel, in your moods, before and after puberty, when these moodswings started, and if there is any reason in your life which may have triggered them. So see your doctor as soon as possible; take the notes along. If the medication has little or no effect after 5 weeks, it may need to be adjusted or changed. Exercise for 30 - 60 mins, daily. Eat healthily, and keep occupied.

It's not bipolar. It's just mood swings. Depression does that. Bipolar is when every couple of days you have a big change. From being overly happy (talking a lot, spending money you don't have) to being overly down (crying, angry, fits of insane rage, the sobbing hysterically). This happens over days and sometimes weeks, not hours. It just sounds like a mild bout of depression. Get out and have some fun. Don't let your mind wander too much from the task at hand. Don't isolate yourself for long periods of time and don't watch, read, etc anything depressing. It'll get better. If not then go see a doctor, they might be able to help you but I doubt it. All they do is put you on pills that make you numb to everything.

Wow, you summed up my cutting-edge existence precisely. i've got been toying with the assumption of seeing a ''professional" for an prolonged time, yet i do no longer think of i will have the skill to communicate each little thing i ought to whether I do... I additionally choose I had a pal to speak to, yet there is no-individual who comes on the brink of installation the bill of 'confidante' in my existence, and the reality i'm of course shy, insecure and introverted makes it much extra stable. *sigh*. possibly it would help chatting with a therapist, or maybe somebody like the Samaritans over the telephone? (i'm being hypocritical right here, for the reason that i've got not got the braveness yet to try this). Failing that, possibly a communicate board to communicate your issues - human beings are often extra open-minded and much less probably to criticise than docs / kinfolk / acquaintances on the internet. additionally, i discover starting to be paintings facilitates me to vent my emotions, whether this is writing songs, prose, taking part in guitar, or portray. (do no longer enable the theory you're no longer ok end you-paintings isn't approximately drawing exceedingly landscapes). that's an amazing cathartic launch, however I empathise in case you purely can not be inspired to do it, as I certainly have that problem many of the time. i've got began to circulate on walks in the nation-state, listening to upbeat songs or classical music just to flee the crushing banality of existence each now and returned, which does certainly make me experience extra useful approximately my visual appeal, my concepts and my existence often. i think of this is the seratonin, the sunlight, clean air, exercising and escapism of the exercising.... properly, wish this helped in some small way. enable me be attentive to in case you uncover the respond...

See a psychologist. You may need a medicine to help you equalize your moods. That constant swinging doesn't sound like much fun.
Good luck!
