The number of beasts in the ark
GEN 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

GEN 7:8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, GEN 7:9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

where is the contradiction? Noah took seven of each that were to be used as food and the others came in pairs...

Here's a few hundred of them to get you started:

God good to all, or just a few?
PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.

You forgotthe part where the Lord says "These wicked people refuse to listen to me.They stubbornly follow their own desires and worship idols." JER:15Give glory to the LORD your GOd beofre it is too late. Acknowledge Him before He brings darkness upon you"

God will forgive all the BAD< HORRIBLE things you do, but there is a consequence to everything you do. Like a good parent you are punished when you do wrong, but your parents will love you no matter what. Accept the Lord and you will be with him.... Do you think you will not be punished for any of your wrong doings?????

How many stalls and horsemen?
KI1 4:26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

CH2 9:25 And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

My Bible says four thousand at each verse and adds that the HEBREWS read it as 40,000

There is no contradiction on the verses written on the bible. The atheist call it contradiction when they could not understand the verse. If they reader of the bible will only continue to read and understand the verse on the other side, they will come to know that it is not a contradiction on some other verses. They could not imagine that their doubt in some verses in John or Luke can be found on some verses of Peter,or Mathew and so forth and so on.. A preacher or teacher or evangelist should go personally to the atheist to explain all the things written on the bible. I mean those who are really preacher who knows very well the verses on the bible.

It has many contradictions, why the Torah or the old testament is history and any Christian preacher will acknowledge that, I know because I have asked many of them. In the new testament Jesus has a "New Deal" in other words as to live a different way than the Hebrews, however he came to fulfill the law not to abolish it. So how can we have a new deal and live in the law of the Torah and one of the most talked about examples are:
OT - giving 10% NT - no mentioning of such
OT - an Eye for an Eye NT - turn the other cheek
Who is god: the Jewish god Yahem (No sure of the spelling) or the son of the Jewish god Jesus, if they are the same than there is no conflict. However that is not the case presented now is it.

Sceptics like to nit pick at tiny things here and there in order to prove that they have no reading comprehension. And they seem to get upset when you tell them that the artificial meanings that they try to force upon the text don't seem to make sense in light of the context.

People have been reading the Bible for thousands of years, and we notice the same things that the sceptics do, and for some reason, they think that they are telling us something that we don't know already like when they say that the genealogy of Jesus is different in Matthew than in Luke (like we can't read, and haven't noticed out that already, and actually have an explanation for it).

Below are the standard explanations that knock out about 90 percent of most alleged "contradictions" that you will see on here:

----------------------
Most alleged Bible contradictions can be explained by the following:

(1) Reading a verse out of context. Make sure you read the entire chapter to see what context the verse is in. Sometimes the begining of the chapter will reveal the subject in the following verses.

(2) Change between old and new covenants. As Christians, we are not under the laws of the old covenant listed in the old testement. Because we are not under the law, some people confuse verses in the new testement to contradict those of the old. Not a contradiction, simply just a change in covenants.

(3) Bad translation. Not all Bibles are good translations. Whenever you translate from one language to another you have the potential for mistranslations. Also some cult groups have bad translations that are slanted to match thier doctrine. The New World Translation of The Holy Scriptures (Jehovah's Witness Version) is a good example of a very bad translation.

I believe in a creator.
I do not believe in the bible.
It has many contradictions.
It was written by man.Have you ever wondered why,'god' found it so simple to create the most amazing things(everything)But for some strange reason he did not write his own book?? Also why did he make it so hard for some people to understand, god, being god, would of forseen the problems, some people would had understanding it??? Wouldent he of made it so perfectly clear,? perfect is what he specializes in! And why would the true god damm people to hell for not taking a book, written by man, into their hearts? If anyone cares to clear this up for me feel free to email me!

i really don't know that is a great question and comment i would imagine that they are not taking the word of God in it's entirety just bits and pieces just like the rest of the world. People are so quick to speak negative things against the word of God and it's events based on what someone else told them rather than seeking the answers for themselves by reading and studying the word of God(the bible) so that they can form their opinions and gain knowledge and understanding. I challenge all those out their to read and study the bible for yourself and when you are done and can truly say you know what the contents are there in, then ask the questions and i can guarantee you that you will not be the same person that you are today. you will not speak hate but love you will speak life not death give it a try you won't regret it.

Hi Pink,
I think that is a great ID on here. I am also a Christian. My wife and I attend a Non-denominational Church. I do not find any contradictions in the Bible. The Atheists that believe there are generally do not want to read the BIBLE as it is written and want to nit-pick about things that are generally arguable at best. Have a great evening and don't sweat the small stuff. GOD will sort it out.
Thanks,
Eds

There are variations of the same story told by different authors, inconsistencies in details, mistranslations (especially in the King James), and paradoxes that are often used by detractors to show that the Bible is not trustworthy. And when apologists reconcile these apparent contradictions, the detractors accuse them of squirming. It's a no win scenario.

I don't think there are contradictions in the Bible. For me that's not the word I would use.

What I do believe is that the stories in the Bible are parables to give the Hebrew People during that time laws to live by.

Many people, not just atheists, are in desperate search for a "loophole", anything that would discredit and finally put to rest the idea that man is ultimately responsible for personal sin and will one day stand before a righteous God who will demand an account of their lives and ask what they did with his Son while on earth....then,the judgement.

There is no loophole,no contradiction

I would also add that there are a very few, that are Blind to the idea of a personal God. I view them as possibly not as rebellious but also in a much darker place.
