Can someone tell me a great place to go in Manhattan for.....?

I'm looking for a few bars that would be good to go to on a Sunday afternoon/evening in Manhattan that will be kind of low key, but not necessarily upscale and stuffy. I'm thinking a typical watering hole/pub type atmosphere. Maybe some place with live music that isn't so loud that you can't have a coversation. Preferably something that may get you tapping your feet and possibly a dance every now and then.

I'm going to be with some friends but also have a few older family members with us that are not going to enjoy a loud club type scene.

Location in manhattan isn't an issue. Something clean and safe please!

Sounds like you are looking for a nice Irish Pub. Finding the one that suits you if half the fun.
