Yes you can. click on start... all programs ... right click on the program you would like to display and select "Pin to start menu". Just a quick note, your start menu should be in the start menu setting to do this not classic start menu.

Sure. Just drag the folder to the STARTUP folder.. it will show on startup. (Not exactly what you asked but it sure will show!)

Just Drag your newly created folder over to the Start MENU.

drag a new item into it? like from the program copy to start menu, then drag to where you want to place the shortcut
