Do I have to be invited to join Delta Sigma Theta? GPA question?

I guess my first question should be about the GPA since that is one of the main requirements to join the chapter. I didn't do too well in undergrad with my GPA. When I realized what I wanted in life, I worked hard at improving my grades (even made the dean's list my last semester). However I wasn't able to pull my GPA up to a 2.5. I was very close. Currently I am back in school getting my MBA and my GPA is a 3.5. Can I use my Grad school GPA instead of undergrad? Secondly, do I have to be invited into the sorority to join? I have tried to contact several people within the chapter and no one will return my calls. What's the next step?

Until you receive your graduate degree, your undergrad GPA will always be used for membership consideration. The only exception is if you've been out of undergrad for at least ten years. Your graduate GPA will not be considered until you receive your graduate degree. There are no exceptions to this rule. Just a little advice... it is a little pushy to contact people you do not know. The members do have lives outside of Delta Sigma Theta. At this time, you do not appear to be eligible for membership based on your GPA. My suggestion is that you focus on obtaining your graduate degree and get involved in community service. You will meet members as you become more involved in your community.
