I just realize that I'm spoiled. The reason why my sister-in-law don't like me and the reason why my mom yells at me it's because I'm spoiled.

How can I change? How can I make them believe that I'm mature enough now and NOT anymore spoiled? Please, help me.

The best thing about this is that you've realised your mistakes, being selfish? find out how? why? perhaps not doing enough work around the house? Or such? Start by helping out and carry the weight off those around you, being mature means that you'll take responsibility for your actions, and also helping those around u while ur at it ^^ hopefully that'll help.

Sweetheart I am 35 yrs old. I was spoiled as a child, teenager, twenty something and even now at 35yrs old I still get spoiled by my father, and husband. And we spoil our children but not to the extend where ppl do not like them. Most ppl spoil their kids to some point we just know the limits.

The way to become less spoiled is to start thinking more of others than of yourself. It takes practice (I know because I was spoiled too!). Start by stopping yourself in any given situation and asking, is this what's best for me or is it more important that it be best for someone else. If it is more important to someone else, do what's best for THEM, not YOU!

After awhile, you mature, and you really DO consider other people's feelings and needs as much as you do your own.

In order to change you will have to start taking responsibility for your actions (not putting the blame on someone else), start helping around the house and if your work, help in some way with the household expenses - like not asking to be paid back for just picking up a gallon of milk.

Maturity comes with action, not words. Try to think before you speak or act. Count to five and respond in a way that you would want others to respond to you.
Try visually trading places. Think of others first. When you're spoiled or immature, it's all about me..me...me.....Good luck

buy yourself 'emily post's etiquette' book and read it from cover to cover. most of it is about being considerate and respectful to others. spoiled people usually aren't considerate and respectful. good for you for wanting to improve yourself. just remember that everyone, including you, has something wonderful to offer the world. life is all about finding what that gift is. besides, your life shouldn't be about proving your maturity and worth to other people. it should be about behaving in a way that makes you proud and content within yourself. it's about accepting the life God has given you and making the best of it. no one can 'make' someone else believe anything.

in order for you to mature properly, you need to know that you're not perfect. But with God's help and your developing relationship with Jesus Christ, when you approach a situation, the way you communicate with other people will show that you have changed. remember that it's an ongoing process. when you are strong in yourself and stand up for what you believe in, no one else's opinion will matter.

Hmm..... just don't ask for stuff as much as you would normally do. Like, help out around the house and stuff. Donate some of your clothes that don't fit you anymore to the shelter or something like that and don't throw temper tantruns.

Quit acting like a spoiled brat and then and only then will you gain the respect from both of them that you GRACEFULLY deserve.(the true meaning of grace is getting something that you DON'T deserve.)

Listen to what they say, & as long as they aren't asking you to do someything that is either against the law, or that puts your life, or safety in any danger then DO IT!
