This is a common and normal experience of most people!
If one doesn't take enough fiber in his food, there could be hard stools which are heavy and hit the water with a greater force than normal, resulting in a splash of water over the butt.
Another reason could be that the design of the toilet bowl is faulty. I have come across some where the water level is higher than what we normally expect it to be, and this closeness to the butt has the effect you have described.
In both cases, I don't see anything weird in the phenomenon you have experienced.

IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT WHEN YOU EXPELL A LARGE FIRM "POOP" IT TENDS TO CANNONBALL. SORT OF THE WAY YOU DO WHEN YOU JUMP INTO A POOL.
A THING YOU CAN TRY DOING IS TO GRADUALLY, AND ALSO ADD MORE FIBER TO YOUR DIET -- AS IN MORE VEGGIES, THEN THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN ANYMORE.
