The part of my skull directly behind my ears, from the top of my ear to the bottom of my earlob, is very tender and sore?

It feels like there is a bone there, but why would the bone hurt so badly? It has been like this on and off for a couple of years, but just recently got worse.

I also have jaw and neck pain, and my ears get turn really red and feel really hot every once in a while. Why is this?

1_sometimes when you have an infection (ear infection, sinus, cold, anything like that) lymph nodes can swell in those areas and cause pain that is severe at times.
2-tmj is a disorder that causes pain in those areas. one symptom is grinding your teeth at night.
3-migraines or nerve pain can also cause that

you should see your family doctor. most likely, each flare up will get worse without proper treatment

Have you ever injured your Neck/Jaw region? I'd recommend simply seeing a chiropractor and seeing if you simply need a readjusting.
