They are certainly good for you, but I'm not sure if they will speed up your metabolism. I have a metabolic disorder - I've found that drinking hot green tea speeds mine up. I get some that is flavored (strawberry or even blueberry) and it is really good. You could also make an iced tea from it. Green tea does a lot of good for your body and has helped me. Enjoy!

Do you mean, "Does eating fruits and vegitables speed up your metabolism".
Certain fruits and vegitables will, and others will not. The best way to speed up your metabolism is to exercise and to DECREASE EATING PRESERVATIVES.
Preservatives cause food not to rott ... and that means it doesn't "rot" (or digest) in your stomach. The preservatives directly STOP metabolism (or slow it at least)

I'm not to sure about "vegitables", but vegetables AND fruit certainly does speed up your metabolism, providing good nourishment and fibres, this is in fulfillment of the very basics of healthy food provided for us by nature.

Not necessairly but combined with a balanced diet they can. For example, if you eat 4 nutritional/small meals rather than 3 your metabolism will go up. Exercise does the same thing. So if you add fruits/veggies in beetween meals then I would think so : )

Eating fruit with capsaicin in them; chili peppers, can speed up your metabolism.
I can't speak for other fruits and vegetables.
