I agreed with The Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Tastes great on hot summer days. There is a beer from Oregon too that is called Dead Guy Rogue that is awesome too. I like regional beers and always check to see if the restuarant I am at has anything local. Those can be really surprising and make your travels even more enjoyable. Have you ever tried Blue Moon with a shot of triple sec in it and an orange? Very smooth and you only need a few!

Guinness. I first wanted to try it because I have a lot of Irish heritage, and I thought it looked cool since it was so dark. (Yeah, I'm from America.) I was buying into the reputation. But it stands up; I think the flavor is great, and I like that it isn't super carbonated. I hate drinking a beer that feels like a soda.
If I can't get Guinness though, there is always the local: Boulevard Pale Ale brewed just a couple hours north of me in Kansas City, MO. Squeeze and drop in a small lemon wedge, and it's pretty darn good.

Paulaner
It has a nice slightly sweet taste and is quite smooth.
If you like wheat beers this is a must try.
Franziskaner is a close second though.
next to Belgium, Munich Germany has the best beers in the world.

In order of preference:
1) Konig Ludwig cos of its full flavour without much bloat
2) Tiger Beer cos of its rather thick n 'gassy' feeling
3) Anchor Beer cos it goes down smooth
4) Heineken when the above three are unavailable
Cheers!

Wow - I like Anchor Steam or Anchor Porter, and I like Sam Adams Cherry Wheat (I usually recommend this for new beer drinkers or people that usually don't like beer, but want to try anyway.) But, my all time favorite beer has always been: free.

Aggreed with the last couple of answers Sam Adams Cherry Wheat doesn't taste like beer at all "more like pop" and for a beer drinking begginer I strongly reccommend it. Myself I love the taste of Busch but it hurts my stomach too much and just drink bud instead.
