Omigosh! I've always wished I knew someone who understood. For me, I had my first panic attack this past October and a couple more until a month ago. Now the actual attacks are gone, but I still feel that it's hard for me to breathe sometimes although it's probably all in my head. The thing is, I don't know why..but sometimes I feel so...not like myself. I don't really know how to explain it...but it's really annoying and it upsets me. I don't know what to do about it. I was going to take the anti-depressants that my doctor suggested I tried if it kept bothering me, but I didn't want to make a choice of taking a pill everyday.

If you are on medication with you disorder i don't think you should stop taking it until the doctor tell you to stop, because stopping like that can cause other thing, i have a disorder too i know what is means to be free but I'm not free completely yet and you think you are unreal because you are so attached to being so worried all the time that when you stop worrying you kind of forget how to send the real reality. I still trying to adjust on that.

It could be from the medication you're taking or maybe you should have to change your meds. Are you on an anti depressant? You MUST discuss this with your Dr.. You certainly don't want to go on feeling this way.

It's a lifetime process. It's like any other disease you have to learn to live with, which is what you are doing. You can over come it, but it doesn't just stop one day because you will it too.

sounds like your still anxious, you need to work with a therapist and keep working, there is no "quick" answer but with hard long work you can have dramatic lasting improvements. sometimes it takes months, sometimes years

We are each in control of our own minds, drugs can become a crutch and just as muscles get weak when they are not used so can good states of mind. Practice good state of mind and it will get easier and easier even in situations that should put you in a bad state of mind.
