consider 'dalmatian rescue' http://www.dalclubnorcal.org/rescue.htm (or your local) ! I'm sure they have young dogs looking for loving homes in an area near you!

Someone who can spell the breed that they want =D

As a college student, you need to know that Dalmatians need a lot of human companionship and a whole lot of exercise. You will be studying a lot so make sure that you have the time and energy to look after a Dalmatian properly. They can get very, VERY destructive when they are bored so make sure your Dal doesn't get bored!

Remember that cheaper usually doesn't mean good quality. You need to find a breeder who has BAER tested their dogs (for deafness, over 12% of Dal pups are born deaf), screened their dogs for elbow dysplasia (very important) and hip dysplasia.

Here are a few sites that you might want to check out for Dalmatian breeders and Dalmatian information:

http://www.geocities.com/paisleydals/ (breeder)
http://www.thedca.org/ (Dalmatian club, has information and litter notifications)
http://www.dalmatian.asn.au/ (in Australia but has a lot of good information)
