I've a document in .doc that contains macros. However, when I open the file, it doesn't pop-up a message for me to choose whether to disable or enable the macros. Instead, it shows me the message that the macros is already disabled, and if I want to enable the macros, I have to go to the Help Documentation, which obviously, not helping me much. Because of that, when I open the file, I keep seeing this word "Ende" in red. Please help.

If it is a document that you trust does not contain a virus - Before opening the document (ideal) - go to Tools>Options and select the Security Tab. At the bottom is a Macro Security icon. Click on it. Select LOW as the security (MS will warn you that this is not recommended) and open your document. Your macros should be enabled.

Since this is a significant virus threat, you should re-set the Security to High once your document in question has been opened and re-saved onto your computer.
