we're both college students, but go to different schools. i see her on the bus every thursday and I want to ask for her # or at least give her mine. However, it would be really awkward to approach her on the bus, especially in front of dozens of people.
She gets on after I do, so I couldn't ask to sit with her.
I get off before she does, so I can't get off with her (she gets off several miles from my house where her school is).

You can either wait it out, hopefully she'll sit next to you and you can start an intelligent conversation ending in you getting her number, OR you can man up and ask her straight forward. Trust me, the people on the bus dont care. Smile at her if she looks at you, make eye contact, she if she returns any of it. If she does, just go right up to her and be like "Hi, I'm so-and-so and I dont know if you've noticed, but we've caught the bus together for sometime. I would really like to get to know you, so do you mind if we catch an early stop and maybe get some coffee?" Or some variation of that. Just freestyle, it should come naturally.

the only way to know how she feels about you is to go for it...sit down next to her and make small talk, if she doesnt seem interested you'll know right away, girls are funny like that..if she seems interested take it from there, say u guys should get together at a bar with some friends one night...bars or nightclubs are always safe for girls...if they realize they dont like you, they can walk away or leave..without having to be rude liek she would have to be if it was just the two of you
take a chance, youll never know...otherwise one day shell stop takin the bus and youll wonder for so long what could have happen

It sounds cheesy but write her a note. say something cute and leave it as a check yes or no and ask that she give it back the following week. Just pass it to her, she'll be intrigued and the reminder of a first elementary school crush will make her smile. That way its discreet and charming. :)
