I hear the sub compact glock 9mm (G26) is unusually accurate, even more so than the compact (G19) or full sized (G17) glocks. If so, then the G26 may be a sub compact 9mm that would be suitable for target shooting/practice.

I personally own a Taurus PT111 and it will shoot under an 1" at 25 yards and is alot of gun for the money but the trigger sux and takes some getting use to.

...a "9" for target practice....? umm, not for me... consider a medium frame 6 to 8 inch .22 (for target practice)... for getting the "job" done... a nice S & W .357 with 158 gr. super vel hollow-points.... (the "9" is a joke..........)

Try the Glock subcompact. I can't remember the model #, maybe 26

That's what I got for my wife. Fun to shoot, but no real stopping power if I ever really needed it.
