Many men find the pursuit of something (or someone) that poses a greater challenge to be quite rewarding in and of itself, especially someone who already knows to say that he never gives up.

Perhaps what you perceive to have been you NOT trying to lead him on is something he perceives as you playing hard to get.

How do you know that he and you will never work? Never is such an absolute term: one that many of the world's more persistent men have found to be false in many situations.

Why not try to figure out a way to accept that he finds you (or at least the pursuit of you) to be attractive, and leave your relationship at that. If you are so sure that you and he will never work, then it shouldn't be too hard for you to remain persistent in telling him no.

You have to be very firm with this guy and let him know you are not interested in him and that he needs to leave you alone and get on with his life. Don't try to be gentle about this because he will mistake that for uncertainty as he already seems to think he can do whatever he wants to do and get away with it as far as you are concerned. If he doesn't stop his unwanted advances you might need to get your parents involved if you are a kid, but if you are an adult you have the right to contact the authorities and get a legal restraint against him. Whatever you decide to do, please be strong and don't back down. After all, you have a right to decide who you want in your life and who you want to get out of it.

Oh, some folks are just stubborn and other can't seem to see the handwriting on the wall even when it is written in LARGE letters. He's told you he never gives up so pride is involved. Some guys are too full of themselves to get it.

He likes the chase, don't give in! If you do, odds are he'll get his fun then find someone else to go after! Atleast that's usually the case if he already has a girlfriend as you say and still after you, he's a player!

Some guys are just that way, and some guys are also controlling and potentially abusive. If he doesn't leave you alone, tell your family and friends, or even the police if he appears dangerous.

Maybe he thinks you're playing hard to get. He sounds quite annoying. Ignore him and if that doesn't work then tell him you're seeing someone.
