I got laser hair removal about a week in a half ago on my upper lip. It got slighty burned and now it seems like there is a circle black scar on one side of my upper lip. The wound is gone, but just a blackish color of the skin is left. I have started to use Mederma to reduce the apperance of the scar. Is this a good idea? Has anyone used mederma for laser hair removal scar removal etc. Please let me know and if anyone else has gone through this and how long did it take for their scar to go away. Thanks. Im very worried thank you for your answers

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

are you surethe black isn't now a hyperpigmentation. I've been told these are non-permanent and gradually (although slowly fade). humm. I'm worried for you. Did your have tanned or dark skin in comparison to your hair?
What does the laser clinic have to say about your scar? They should be bending over backwards right now to help you as much as they can.

If you live in the states Vitamin K may be available in pure form. Vit K is supposed to be good for scars, although I have not tested this personally except in small doses of lotions that include Vitamin K as an ingredient.
The pure form would be better

Whatever you do don't go tanning to try to blend it. If it is hyperpigmentation it will make it worse. you could use tinted tan makeup to try to blend it. Check with the clinic and if they are unhelpful idiots ask your doctor. It may be embarassing but you were also injured by the process and that needs to be addressed.
Good Luck

I always had burns after lazer hair removal. it might take a couple of weeks for this to look better, call your dermatologist and ask for the after care cream, I got some with my treatments and it really helped. Or even ask about the product you just mentioned. Dont want to use anything that might be harsh on these areas.

Good luck
