Fortunately for us most americans are smarter and have more sense than the world gives us credit for. The world only notices the people and groups of people who make headlines. Unfortunately these are usually the fanatics, extremists, and nut cases. I'm not saying incidents don't happen in the U.S. I'm saying they don't occur and involve the numbers of people as they do in other countries.

Christians do not engage in death or terror... if someone is, then they really aren't a Christian. And atheists have taken aim outside of churches, Columbine and other school shootings included, but in all cases, the actions of one do not reflect on the whole... and atheists are not joined together by any one doctrine or leader that would make it possible for a unified martial assault on Christianity.

The "Christians" category is far too broad. It isn't Episcopalians, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Methodists, Mennonites, Quakers, , etc. bombing clinics is it? "Christian Identity", a British Israelism, the religion to which abortion clinic bomber Eric Rudolph belongs, is generally labeled a racist heretical cult, like its fellow travelers, The Order, The Aryan Nations.
As for atheists, since we think theists are simply mistaken, brainwashed, ignorant, gullible, and do not see them as demonic servants of the sub-god of evil, and we generally think of them as having a condition that education and information can eventually resolve as it did for us, we ar emuch more interested in giving them a library card than a sucking chest wound.

Atheists aren't interested in fighting Christianity - there are enough differences within the religion to keep it busy fighting itself, so why bother? Witches, on the other hand, watch.

Good one. But really--that sort of fake "Christian" is hardly representative of the majority.
And the ones who like to bomb things are busy in Iraq right nnow.

Fortunately, atheism is not a religion, so we lack that fanatical fervour and sense of righteousness that self-justifies the murder of people who simply don't agree with us.
I don't know why Christians don't kill us though. Perhaps they will, now.
