Girls like that know they are not fat. They just say, "Oh I am so fat" so that they can hear someone say, "Oh no, you are not fat, you are thin and pretty." Low self esteem losers.

I feel that alot of girls believe they are or look "fat" due to all the magazine tv media etc that always focuses on being thin-models have to be so thin and actresses want to be thin becasue the camera adds 10 ils to their on screen apperance.
I work at a middle school and see these pre-teens on a diet!! they do not eat lunch! maybe a few "hot Cheetoes" l.ol. but thts all they eat..or they will go to the salad bar and get a few piecs of lettuce and a piece of fruit-it is so sad, yet if i tell tehm why dont you et you are way too skinny they say oh no i have a fat butt, ot my thighs ar heavy etc, and as i said most of these girls are 11 and 12!

i think anytime someone is of a healthy normal weight the media makes a big thing of it acting like that person is fat, and all these impressionable young girls think normal is fat!!

Because girls buy fashion mags that boys peek at. It is simple. Look at tyra banks model show women look like they need a decent meal, they look like walking skeletons! It is so sad. I am a decent size 6 and those girls look thinner than me. Thank goodness Italy and Spain are on the cutting edge of discovering beauty in size 8 to 10 that is a start. Weight should be about health and not looking like a concentration camp victim

Don't bother. I'm 30 and still have mental issues with my weight, which is perfectly fine to my doctor. It's because we see women in magazines and want to look like them. What most girls don't realize is that these women work out 4 hours a day. If we all had the time to do that, we would be on magazine covers too.

just tell them that they have nothing to worry about, and that they look great just the way they are. If they still aren't eating just tell someone cuz this is an eating disorder and can get very dangerous. good luck

Probaly because at your age there is such a social pressure to be prefect. Yes I think you should befriend these girls and give them encouragement to be healthy and let them know what is great about them on the inside and the out. yes please tell them that looks are not all that counts

because they probably look in magazines and on tv and see really skinny models who dont eat at all. and if they do they eat one salad a week, seriously. i met a model who had to do that and she could only drink water. and when young girls see how skinny the models and actresses are they think that theyre fat

say something like, "why are you stressin out so much about it, your not big AT ALL, if anything, you couild prolly gain a lil' weight girl!"

well you could leave off the gaining part=]

or just write them a note saying, "hey i've notice how you've been thinking that your overweight, and i just want to say, that your not!"
