Im just trying to compare the SAS and French Foreign Legions history.

i don't know but I do know someone who ran off to the foreign legion a week before he was due to get married!

The French Foreign Legion was involved in the campaigns in Gallipoli (1915 -1916), Indochina (Vietnam 1945 -1954), and Algeria (1954 -1962).

They have been and still are involved in operations in the Ivory Coast, Kosovo and Afganistan.
